- To appreciate the breadth of evidence that childhood adversity is a substantial risk factor for adult mental and physical illness
- To list common perceived barriers to inquiring about childhood adversity in adult patients
- To contribute to discussion of how psychiatrists can lead advocacy, education and collaboration that influences non-psychiatric medicine
